If you live in Southern Ontario, please be sure to check out the family-friendly Ice Cream Ride and the exciting bicycle race Max’s Big Climb – both are sure to be exciting events.

You can still donate to Max’s Big Ride for 2018 below!

Support Max and Andrew during their 600 km ride from Hamilton to Ottawa by pledging an amount for each kilometre they ride. Your generous donation will help Jesse’s Journey continue to fund the most promising research in to Duchenne muscular dystrophy.

Max’s Big Ride and Jesse’s Journey have partnered with the University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM) to direct the proceeds from this year’s ride to the establishment of a doctoral fellowship in the internationally-recognized Gunning Group Lab at UTM. The fellowship recipient will evaluate the effectiveness of the group’s STAT3 inhibitors in animal models of Duchenne. The group hopes to find ways of not only preventing the muscle atrophy that characterizes the disease, but also reversing existing damage, so that those confined to a wheelchair can regain their mobility.
