Michael Woodward's
Jesse's Journey Community Service Award

Jesse's Journey lost a great friend and dedicated volunteer in January 2008, with the passing of Michael Woodward at the age of 75.

He was with the Journey since its inception, and took part of both Journeys' in 1995 and 1998. He was the first and only secretary of the board until his passing.

In honour of Michael's many contributions, Jesse's Journey established the Michael Woodward / Jesse's Journey Community Service Award. This award is given to a graduating student form Saunders Secondary School in London . The recipient must demonstrate an outstanding commitment to volunteering/community service. Preference would be given to a student who demonstrates an interest in the scientific research field.


The first recipient of this reward (2009) was Tara
Scrime (center), with Irene Woodward and John Davidson.
