Fundraising Ideas for Defeat Duchenne Month
We are inviting schools to help fundraise for Jesse’s Journey too. Just choose a day in May to have some fun with your students while raising money for research to find a cure for Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
Ideas for fundraising have no limits – create your school’s own personal fun activities or use one of ours!
- Use school grounds for a ceremonial “Walk Across Canada” and each student donates a toonie to research.
- Purchase a shoe card for a toonie and recreate John’s route across Canada on the school wall.
- You may like to have a red and white day, crazy hat day, skipping contest or teddy bear picnic.
- Staff could even join in the fun by having dress down days, staff luncheon-potluck or pay to eat, or even have a silent auction in the staff room.
To register, please call 519-645-8855
Don’t forget – the school that raises the most money per capita will win “The Best Foot Forward Award”.
Thanks to all the schools that participated last year and helped Jesse’s Journey fund research!
