Our grandson Louie was diagnosed at the age of 2-1/2 with Duchenne. As a family we became proactive in the hopes of finding a cure for Louie and all the other children. To do this we needed to raise money for research. So in a five year span we did 2 walks and collectively raised one million dollars, 100% of the money going directly for research!
Today Louie is 9-1/2 years old, he is in grade 3, enjoying life as any fun loving boy his age. He participates in basketball and swim team. He may not be the fastest but he loves being a part of a team. We are cautiously optimistic that Louie will continue to maintain his current level of health, and we rely on the researchers to keep theirfocus on finding a Cure!
Along with family, friends, Duchenne families, businesses, organizations, generous hearts of strangers and all the volunteers, the two walks were a huge success!
On behalf of the entire Facca family, words cannot express the gratitude we feel, for all the love and support received by many, on Louie’s
